MARITIME – NAUTICAL HOME DÉCOR

No nautical home decorating catalog would be complete without a Maritime section. This is where we can select certain items that relate to the world of Maritime and incorporate them in our nautical home décor. To make sure we are headed in the right direction we will begin with the Ships Wheel. Our collection of ships wheels consists of eight sizes from 12” diameter to 60” diameter. Next we have our beautiful Ships Bells. These bells are solid brass, handmade and sand cast. There tone is by far the most authentic we have found and we offer four sizes. The next item in our list of Nautical Home Décor items is our spectacular Porthole Mirrors. We offer two sizes. Our Porthole Mirrors actually open and are solid brass. Our Ships Telegraph serves as a timeless reminder of the days of when communication between bridge and engine room was purely mechanical. In continual use for 100 years the Mark V Diving Helmet is a prize piece of Nautical Home Décor that anyone who has spent anytime under water will appreciate. The Telescope, in use today, still has a place in nautical history. And what would nautical history be without the Rigging Rope Ladder. It truly harkens back the days of the great sailing ships, well before the combustion engine. Since we are back in time, let’s take a look at some Whaling Tools. A great Nautical Decoration today they were once used in the hunt for the great whales. Our Life Ring is next on our nautical journey. Still in use today and made virtually the same way it was years ago, the number of lives saved is countless. The Deck Prism is perhaps the most unique piece of Nautical Home Décor anyone can own. Both functional and beautiful it was a unique answer to a burning question. Our Weather Glass is also a very unique item and did provide the answer to a burning question for many a ship’s captain. The Rope Fenders we offer were an answer years ago of keeping a boat’s hull from becoming marred. Today we have plastic. Not quite as beautiful as this rope work. Our next item, the Fishnet is perhaps one of the most versatile pieces of Nautical Home Décor. Fishnet has multiple uses. Fishnet can be used inside or outside. Fishnet makes a great swag or valance for windows, or wall covering. Some mariners hang fishnet and then hang other nautical items from the fishnet to add nautical flavor to a room.
